The new team, made up of nine volunteers, promises to provide the same warm and open welcome to all readers, old and new.

The library has around 1,500 books; children’s albums, adult novels, detective stories, regionalists, children’s and adult comics, biographies, documentaries and audio books. This stock is renewed every 6 months, at 300 books loaned by the departmental media library of Rodez.

In addition, by being registered with the library, users can connect to the Aveyron media library portal ( This portal allows you to select books yourself. Once a month, the books requested, to the extent of their availability and waiting lists, are currently in Coussergues. Some audiobooks in CD form are also available on this site. Large print books can also be obtained on request. Those who wish are invited to know their needs.

A partnership with all the libraries of the Causses à l’Aubrac commune community is being studied and will soon allow greater sharing of resources. Projects are already under study. As part of the library, the new team plans to organize various events. A chestnut evening is notably planned for November 13 and marked the Floral Art, hosted by Nancy under the benevolent eye of Brigitte, should also find its place. A selection of themes is also envisaged to allow the discovery of new works, new authors, new literary genres. All animation proposals around the library will be welcome.

It was also decided to give this library a name. A letter will soon be placed in front of its door, in order to receive name proposals for this place. They must remain anonymous and will depend on the subject of a vote.

Remember that registration is free and that the library welcomes you every Tuesday and Friday, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Many volunteers await you there.
