Mo’Ne Davis’ biopic is coming to Disney Channel

At just 13 years old, Mo’Ne Davis made history as the first woman to throw a shutout in the Little League World Series and the first Little League player to cover Illustrated sports. With sports titles to her credit, a book offer and a new one sneakers line, the young starlet now opens on her journey to achieve it in a biographical film which will premiere on Disney Channel.

Emmy-nominated producer Debra Martin Chase will be the executive producer for the project, while Sheldon Candis and Justin Wilson will serve as the film’s writers. Davis and espnW will consult on the film.

“There are so many great things happening to me right now and this is a very exciting time in my life”,? Davis said. “A year ago, I never thought Disney Channel would make a movie about me. I can’t wait to get started and hope it inspires other viewers to believe that dreams really do come true.

So far, it’s unclear who will star in the film or when the project will air, but we’re sure Davis’ story will have millions of eyes and ears tuned in.
